Welcome to
The Wanderlist Podcast—your little black book
for travel.

I’m your host, Sophie Baker, and from a young age I’ve been driven by a deep sense of wanderlust. I’ve always been fascinated by the people, places and stories that exist just beyond the obvious—the experiences that make us see the world a little differently.

That curiosity led me to a career working with clients in the travel industry, telling stories about some of the world’s most extraordinary hotels, destinations and experiences. But I’ve always found that the very best recommendations don’t always make it into a magazine, guidebook or online list. They’re shared over long lunches, on hotel terraces, over a martini in a hidden speakeasy, or at the end of a great conversation—those secret addresses that people quietly pass on.

I’ve always been drawn to places with soul, experiences that surprise me, and moments that stay with you long after you’ve returned home. Because the most memorable journeys aren’t defined by the landmarks you tick off, but by the people you meet, the conversations you have, and the unexpected discoveries that become the stories you tell.

So I created The Wanderlist Podcast – Your Little Black Book for Travel
to bring those conversations to you.

Each episode, I sit down with journalists, designers, chefs, hoteliers, creatives and cultural tastemakers to explore how they travel, what inspires them, and the places they return to time and time again. From unforgettable hotels and neighbourhood restaurants to hidden beaches, favourite rituals and unexpected discoveries, every guest shares their own little black book of travel.

Whether you’re planning your next adventure or simply love hearing great travel tales, I hope each episode leaves you feeling inspired, a little more curious, and with an even greater sense of wanderlust for the world.
